NFL Best Bets – Week 8
All game lines are from the DraftKings Sportsbook.
This will be updated throughout the week as new plays are posted.
On October 25, 2021:
The Pick: Cardinals -6 (-110)
WR Davante Adams has been placed on the COVID list, putting him in serious doubt for Thursday. Conversely, the Cardinals activated LB Chandler Jones from the COVID list and is good to go for Thursday.
On October 29, 2021:
The Pick: Cowboys +3 (-115)
The Cowboys are 6-0 ATS in their past 6 games and the Vikings are 1-6 ATS in their previous 7 games at home.
QB Dak Prescott availability has moved the line, but the Cowboys’ run game will move the ball. The Cowboys’ O-line ranks 1st in adjusted line yards vs. a Vikings’ defense ranked last. The Cowboys’ rush offense ranks 10th in DVOA vs. a Vikings’ defense which ranks 24th.
The Pick: Under 49.5 (-110)
The under is 6-1 in the Patriots’ previous 7 games as a dog, and the under is also 5-1 in the Chargers’ last 6 games.
The Chargers give up by far the most rushing yards, 2nd most rushing TDs, 5th most rush attempts, and rank last in rush defense DVOA. The Patriots could look to exploit this weakness, while salting away time, and keeping the Chargers’ offense off the field as much as possible.
The Pick: Titans +3 (-115)
The Titans are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games vs. the AFC South. The Colts are 3-7 ATS in their previous 10 vs. the AFC South.
The Colts’ defense ranks 1st in rush defense DVOA, but this includes weak matchups against Seattle, Miami, and Houston. Different story against the Rams, Derrick Henry, and the 49ers.
Henry totaled 144 scrimmage yards and no TDs on the Colts in a Week 3 win. Henry is currently -165 to score this week.
