About BetRivers
BetRivers Sportsbook has been operating in the United States since 2018, under the publicly traded brand Rush Street. Currently they are offering online Sportsbook wagering in 9 US States. All other US states will be allowed to play at BetRivers for fun. In the states where BetRivers operates, they are run in partner with local casinos or state lottery boards.
Online Availability by State
BetRivers is only available in states where they run in conjunction with local physical casinos or the state lottery boards. All of these casinos operate in states where Sportsbook wagering is legal, and if you physically reside in those states you will be allowed to wager online at BetRivers Sportsbook.
Each of the states where BetRivers operates, will have a standalone app and website for that state. So if you are in Colorado, you will need to download the app that is created specifically for your state.
How Do I get Started
To get started, if you have not already, we first recommend you start off with creating your BetRivers account. If you are on your mobile browser, reading this review, click on this link to sign-up at the BetRivers registration form.
The account registration is straightforward and should not take you more than a few minutes.
Create a BetRivers Account
The process requires you to enter your legal name and address as it appears on your government ID card and any applicable billing statement. The form asks you to enter the last 4-digits of your SSN. Make sure you enter all your information correctly, including any misspellings. BetRivers will give a total of 7 attempts to get this correct. If you fail to complete this successfully, BetRivers will ask you to submit proper documents before they verify your account.

Log into Your BetRivers Account
Once you have created your account, log into the BetRivers website on your mobile web browser.
Now that you are at the BetRivers Lobby, you will look at the banners on the top to download the BetRivers mobile app. This will take you directly to your mobile devices app store. For this example we will use the iOS app store to walk you through the steps.
Download the App
At the app store, you will see more than one BetRivers web app. If you look closely, there will be one for each of the states that BetRivers operates an allows you to wager on the online Sportsbook. You will need to make sure to download the correct app for your state.
You will be able to log into the app using the account you created already. Every time you log in to the app or the mobile web browser, your location will be verified to make sure you are physically located in the same state that matches your account information.
Geolocation Verification
To verify you are in the correct state, BetRivers requires you to install a geolocation verifier app by the name of GeoLoc – GPS Location Tracker. You will need to install this app in the app store. Once it downloads, open the app and follow the instructions.
You will be asked to leave on the location services “Always” so that it can check your information while you have BetRivers open. This information will be used by the mobile app and mobile web browser version of the BetRivers software to verify your location. Next you will need to allow notifications for the GeoLoc app.
Now when you are on the BetRivers app, your location will be constantly verified through the background process of the GeoLoc app. If you are not in the correct local jurisdiction where you are allowed to wager on the Sportsbook, you will get a message saying your location could not be properly verified. To show what this look like, we turned off the GeoLoc app.

Make a Deposit
You will only be allowed to make a deposit if you are physically in one of the states where BetRivers operates. So even if you are vacation in California, you will not be allowed to place your deposit.
BetRivers gives players the option to Pay with Cash at their local 3rd party retailers that are with the Vanilla and PayNearMe networks. If you are near places like a 7-Eleven or CVS you will be able to make a deposit and have it credited to your BetRivers account. Check out the list as it applies to your state.
You will also have the option to deposit using the BetRivers app and connecting to your online banking account.
For larger deposit, you will need to deposit using Wire Transfers.
